Quincy Geneva Housing Corporation is a Massachusetts Non-profit housing corporation formed in 1983.  The organization was granted tax exempt 501(c) (3) status by the IRS and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Quincy Geneva Housing Corporation promotes self-sufficiency by creating affordable housing opportunities and providing additional programs that raise the economic, educational, and social levels of residents in its’ service area.  The Corporation provides technical assistance and support to local businesses to make internal improvements and to better market their services to the public. A primary goal is assisting low and moderate income families and senior citizens to obtain affordable rental housing.  QGHC pursues this goal through property development and ownership, property management, arranging and providing financing for affordable housing, Secondary goals include a focus on creation of programs and services for resident of the rental units to explore, expand, and build upon their existent skill and knowledge base to better enable them to improve their quality of life and prospective employment opportunities.

Mission Statement

Quincy Geneva Housing Corporation is a non-profit organization serving residents with the greatest need in the Grove Hall Area through the development of social, economic and housing opportunities.  Specifically, our mission entails:

  • Providing affordable rental homes through renovation and new construction
  • Preserving the supply and quality of affordable rental housing
  • Encouraging and assisting local commercial development
  • Developing economic and employment opportunities
  • Supporting residents with social and family service programs
  • Improving residents quality of life and ensuring public safety

Vision Statement

We envision a diverse, self-sustaining community, where housing opportunities, business enterprises, and employment opportunities exist and can be accessed by the residents in our service area to improve and enhance their overall quality of life.

Value Statement

We promote local leadership and empowerment of our diverse population through participation and inclusion in the processes of participation in civic activities, identification of the problems and issues to be addressed, prioritization of issues and problems to be addressed, and responsible decision making in shaping the fabric of the environment of the community.
